Houston is struggling. Indy will be without their #1 WR the rest of the way. And Jax is well Jax.
We're starting to get healthy. This thing is wide open. Hopefully the training wheels can come off the offense and we will be in a nice spot. Coming into the year this is about where I had hoped we would be record wise. Other than the loss to the Chiefs which are way better than anticipated.
We struggled through the toughest stretch on the schedule but it's behind us. A lot of winnable games coming up.
I agree that the division is still open. However, the Titans will have to play a lot better in the second half to maintain pace with the Colts. The league is really a crapshoot. I mean who would have given the Colts a chance to beat the 49ers in San Fran, the Seahawks and the Broncos. The Titans have to take the one game at a time mentality for the remainder of the season.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
Agreed. Just saying the schedule upcoming isn't as daunting as what we just played the last 3 games.
If the run game last week was a sign of things to come the offense has a chance to really make some strides.
Remember we play St. Louis coming off a bye while they play a good physical Seattle team. Minus their QB.
I've been as critical of CJ as anybody. He ran hard last week in limited chances. He might be due for a big one on turf in St. Louis.
I agree that this is a week to week league and anything can happen. We MUST start to run the the ball more effectively.I think until "whoever" figures out that CJ CAN'T get any yards after contact,we are going to struggle to run the ball. Now that Greene is healthy, it needs to be a 50/50 split between the 2. Keep CJ fresh and maybe even have Greene in the backfield and CJ split out wide. Its hard on Jake and Loggains when you cant run the ball effectively.I'm not sure we are good enough to pass to set up the run yet.

I think your last sentence sums it up. This is the main reason why I think CJ hasn't ran well. But to be honest, CJ has averaged the same as he normally has early on the season throughout his career. Like most RB's, he's a slower starter and gets better as the yr progresses.
Personally, I would still go with 75/25% split with CJ, but I'd look to get CJ a consistent # of carries and then also get him more involved in space. One wk he may have 5 carries the next 15. It needs to be more consistent. They also need to pass him the ball in space more. Even if he only gets 2 yds, it helps to spread the field. Finally, they need to extend the passing game more. Take more shots down the field.....whether they connect or not.
CJ should b used in the passing game more. If he gets matched up with a LBer clear out a space let him go five and in or out get him the ball and let him out run somebody. Block and release with everybody running down field. Delayed screen plays.
I know jake gets dinged quite a bit but if u watch our run plays and see the de's and lbers crashing down on him a simple read option jakes got 10 yards off tackle. Not something I want to see frequently but it's been there all year.
