247Sports: Your team all the time.
I thought he looked okay in his career start except for a couple of bad throws. Nate didn't help him with his drops.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
Given the fact that we have ZERO running game against good defenses,I think Jake did a decent job.He is going to make new mistakes every game and hopefully he learns from them.Let him continue to go thru his pre-snap reads, read defenses ,and go thru his progressions. He will improve and become more comfortable with every game . It is going to be a long year if we can't run the ball effective enough to make defenses respect the run game.We do have some weapons and speed on offense if they are used in a creative manner. Our defense is going to have to create some chemistry and play better overall if we are to sniff the playoffs. Its only game 1 and it was aganist N.E.. It is a good measuring stick .Eveything needs to improve top to bottom.
He made some mistakes, but that is to be expected. He needs more time back there, he shouldn't have to do a seven stop drop to be able to get a pass off.The O-Line has got to step up. He's got some weapons though, he has a nice chemistry with Cook and when Kenny gets back and 100%, the passing offense has real potential.
That was a nice tackle. But Locker tackling a guy is like a kicker making a tackle, "C'mon man" to the other 10 players on the field.
Couldn't agree with you more, missknowitall.
He looked ok. The team as a whole didn't look to good but it could have just been the patriots are just a top notch team this year.
-Did a good job going through progressions
-Was fiery and displayed passion/spirit. That can inspire a team
-Was much better with the crossing route accuracy than he has been
-Extended plays and/or kept drives going with his athleticism
-Made decent throws in not so great situations.....he was off balance with a guy hanging on his leg during one TD pass
-Made good decisions.....the interception was one of the few mistakes
-Needs to learn when to throw with touch and when to rifle it
-I would rather him miss receivers low than high
-Better to overshoot long on deep balls than throw short
Overall the future is so bright I gotta wear shades.
