As TitanInsider told you last week, this is the fifth time in seven years the team has had at least a five-game losing streak.
Now with six-game skids in back-to-back years, the Titans are reaching new depths at least for their time in Tennessee.
If the Titans don't win against Houston, the seven-game slide would be their longest since they lost 11 in a row in 1994, the year Jeff Fisher took over in midstream after Jack Pardee was fired. Fisher presided over five of those losses before ending that year with his first career victory. Tennessee also had an eight-game skid in 1986.
Now, for consecutive years with losing streaks of at least six games, you have to go all the way back to the Oilers dark days of Ed Biles, Chuck Studley and Hugh Campbell. In 1983 and 1984, the Oilers began both years 0-10. Biles, then Studley coached the team in '83, and Campbell lorded over the '84 mess.
TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.
