Possible back up for Locker
Hasselbeck needs to take a pay cut because I don't want Fitzpatrick.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
I think that if Fitz had some decent WR's to throw to, got protection, and had a decent running game......he'd be decent as a starter. As it stands he's a very capable back-up.
Fitz has a chance to become a starter here next year if jake falters.I can't believe Hass had demands we couldn't meet Hass is getting a bunch of interest on the market already.I guess we go with Rusty at the # 2 if all else fails. We need to see if he has progressed. We can use the cap room elsewhwere
I don't necessarily buy that it was mainly Hass that caused the separation. He was due 5.5 mil. According to Pat Kirwan a player in Hass' situation that gets a restructured contract.......would basically lean out the contract to around 4.0 to 4.5 mil a yr. Granted it would save us 1.0-1.5 mil of cap space, which is good.....at the end of the day you are still paying 4.5 mil for a QB that doesn't fit the newer offense and is 37 yrs old.
