Defensive coordinator pool thinning out

  • Dick Jauron to the Browns and Dave Wannstedt to the Bills today.
    Jim Mora, Jr. might be a possibility. Little known fact, Fisher's parents with to high school with Jim Mora, Sr. (Playoffs? PLAYOFFS?!!)
    And for just throwing a name out of thin air, what about Bobby Hauck at UNLV? The Rebels football team is struggling. His brother Tim is already on staff as an assistant coach, and he coached Fisher's son Brandon at Montana.
    Of course, Dave McGinnis is the in-house candidate, but I have been told the Titans will look outside first in their search, though that will be tough with a one-year contract likely all that can be offered.

  • While, Bobby Hauck and Fisher have some connections, I really hope he isn't considered for DC. Maybe Lbers coach or something :p . But Bobby Hauck has never coached at all in the nfl. Making the jump to NFL DC might not work out so well. But maybe it would, who knows. I still think the best possible option is McGinnis. They shouldn't even bother looking outside.

  • Hauck is a long, long shot, but I think they will use the college ranks as a possible option. The reason I mentioned him is because Fisher is big on familiarity, or so it seems.
