Do you think Bud will force Fisher to make staff changes?

I think there's a very good chance he forces Fisher to juggle the defensive staff in exchange for getting to stay and booting VY. What do you guys think?

Wasn't there a story during the season about several assistants not being under contract for next year? Do you know who those are, Terry?

Absolutely.
Terry, do you think Cecil is out? and what is the chance for Fish to hook up with Mike Singletary? Also, with Dinger's health being a question, what about some OC names that could be a possibility. Or do you see Dinger being a full recovery? Josh McDaniels could be a name at OC

Virtually all of the assistants are not under contract. That might have been partially by design I beleive because of the lockout that might be coming. No need to pay people to do nothing while there's no football! Of course, you run the risk of losing valuable guys as well like Munchak or Washburn. The problem now is that some of them might be sacrificed in order for Jeff to keep his job now.

Jeff is very loyal to his assistants and won't give up Chuck without a fight. I could see a scenario, though, if Chuck is gone where Dave McGinnis becomes DC and they hire Singletary to coach linebackers. I believe Dinger will likely return if he is healthy enough to carry out his duties.

What do you think of McGinnis as a DC? I haven't really thought about him taking that job but that could be good and get Singletary to coach linebackers. What about a new DB coach?

IIRC, McGinnis wasn't interested the DC job when Schwartz left. I have never quite understood why a former head coach was satisfied being linebackers coach but if he's happy....

That's true that he said he was happy where he was at. But he also knew that Chuck really wanted the job and that Fisher was inclined to give him a chance.
As for the other question above, yes, I think DBs is a place where a change could be made if Fisher's hand is forced in this. They really like Tim Hauck who is the assistant DB coach.

He has control over hiring and firing of all coaches, and has for probably the last 10 years.
