Titans have interest in Locker, but how much adjusting might they have to do to make him successful?
TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.
Thanks for the article Terry!
I don't mind Shonka's analysis at all, particularly because that style of play is very conducive for a play-action team with a running back who runs well on the edges (and runs a Zone Blocking Scheme). I think he has the potential to develop into a better pocket passer than he's given credit for as he's made exceptional plays from within the pocket.
It's also hard to look at his college career and say that he doesn't play well from the pocket due to the fact that his offensive line gave up pressure from several gaps on most plays (as Rob Rang notes). However that's just my opinion. The guy is too much of a hardworker and has demonstrated too much growth in his footwork over the last few months to think that he'll never put it together.
We'll see come draft day what teams think about Locker. It's hard to see Shanahan passing him up at 10 unless the team thinks Julio Jones is significantly better value.
As TitanInsider told you in the bottom of the Patrick Peterson story posted last night, Jake Locker is one of the QBs who will come in for a workout at Baptist Sports Park. NFL Network is now also reporting this.
