First impressions on some of the newest Titans

  • Love the control and poise of Hasselbeck.
    Locker was solid in his debut.
    Ayers has a chance to be something special at linebacker.
    Shaun Smith is a beast in the middle.
    Ruud is an upgrade at middle linebacker over Tulloch.
    Babineaux will push Hope for a starting spot at safety.

  • If they use Hope correctly unlike last year he can be a solid in the box type safety. He's not fast enough to cover the middle of the field. We've got Griffin for that. Babineaux could push him for a spot. I'd certainly be ok with 2 safeties deep who can cover and provide help over the top if they decide to play the CB's more aggresively.

    Jurrell looked real good last nite. Ayers showed up quite a bit, but always seemed a little late. Not concerned about him. Excited about Klug as well. Ruud could be a force at MLB this year. I thing the change of scheme is going to work wonders for the talent we have.

    Good to see Cookie get some looks. Bailed Locker out with that leaping catch. He could be a freak if we use him properly.

    Not sure if our Oline looked that good last nite or if Minny's Dline was that bad. First team definitely ouplayed theirs.

    Morgan got in on some action too. Good to see him moving around well.

    Alot of reasons to be optimistic as a Titans fan!
