They almost always keep eight linemen. I personally would find it difficult for them to part with Kropog so soon, given that he's a fourth-round pick from a year ago. If Kropog and Otto (who can also play guard) both make it, then the last spot comes down to Fernando Velasco, Matthews and Durand. My money is on Velasco of that bunch with Matthews on the practice squad.

Hayes has said he will be ready to go by the opener and he's now walking without a limp. I think Brown will be ready to go but I have to admit I thought he would be back long before now. The injury involved some clean-up where blood from another muscle injury had seeped down into the knee area, according to Brown, so I'm really surprised it has taken this long. But keep in mind, they wouldn't have given him $17m over three years if they thought this injury was anything serious.
