Patriots owner Robert Kraft says that now is the time for London to have an NFL franchise. Commissioner Roger Goodell isnt quite as enthusiastic, for now.
profootballtalk.nbcsports.comFootball is mainly an American sport, so this (if successful) could help to spread the coverage and fanbase. Though, I assume they are saying that the London team would be traveling back and forth "across the pond" for games.....that'd be exhausting for all involved.
Instead, why not expand the NFL in a few European countries.....like a mini-CFL....with the idea to eventually have a Euro-NFL. You could even have the NFL come over from time to time to play them. Maybe even a football version of the Ryder Cup.....Europe vs US.
