Happy with offseason so far...except for the Nate talks now

  • I'm glad this year the front office looks like they have a plan and are jumping on the free agents they want right out the box. At first was kinda upset we didnt keep Cook, but looking at it now. We probably came out better and saved money in the long run. Just surprised all of our emphasis has been on the offensive side of ball the first day. When we all know defense line is the main issue. Im glad we signed Hill but im still holding out hope for a good defensive end in free agency (preferably Abraham or Osi) And then plug whatever other holes we have in draft. The only real thing im not liking is the trade talks about Nate. Hes been our go to guy for the most part, I know itd save money against cap. But with Danny picked up by Patriots I dont see anyone decent enough to take his place if we trade or release him. Also has there been anymore discussions about Matt H restructuring his contract?

  • Man it is refreshing to see the front office be proactive rather than reactive for once. Definitely came out better where it relates to Cook. The offensive line was awful at times last year, so it was good see them go after and land Levitre. I don't see them going after Osi or Abraham now. They should find a way to smooth things over with Nate now. I haven't one thing about any Matt H. restructuring talk since free agency started.

  • I agree PapaTitan. I prefer them getting who they want, then waiting and seeing whos leftover. I figured with Matt restructuring contract that could help us with resigning some of our own free agents as well as not having to release Nate.
