I haven't seen any indications that he "will" be out for any games. He was listed as "Questionable" as of the 9th which may mean there is a very high liklihood that he'll play this wkend.

I wouldn't worry about the boot that he's been seen walking around in. The NFL gives boots out for plain blisters. Often they just want it to heal and rest as much as possible.

If he can't go then Shaw will likely get the nod and he's really a decent option to have as a back-up. And I would expect our Field General MacArthur (I mean McCarthy) to "return" for the Lions.

They give out MRIs to everyone just b/c they can and you can determine most things w/o an MRI......so if it's a high ankle sprain they already know that. If it is a high ankle sprain it doesn't mean that he's out any time. The mid to lower grade high (syndesmotic) ankle sprains are often self limiting injuries that can be taped up and have a low risk associated with it. So he may be able to play through the pain........or he could be out 6-8 wks as missknowitall said.
