Can Chris Johnson survive the pounding?

  • Fisher does need to throw more passing plays in to try and reduce some of the pressure off of CJ, we are putting to much of a beating on CJ letting him running 25+ carries a game.

  • Vince is ranked last in the league with 42 passing attempts while Manning and Brady are ranked in the top two with 128 and 126. this whole week, everyone has been talking about Vince and his decisions on and off the field. Still to this date, Vince and Cutler are still talked about in the same breathe. People say Cutler would be better than Vince here. I am unsure of that. Cutler has been surrounded by talented receivers year in and year out his whole NFL career. Now be honest, who is better Nate Washington or BrAndon Marshall? Cutler has thrown more interceptions than Vince. As fans, we don't know what Vince is asked to do. He basically is asked to be a game manager. His stats may not be great but he wins ballgames. He is our guy so people should be greatf. Looking around the league, what other Quarterbacks would be available to start for us? Trent Edwards?

What makes this alarming to me is this, why do we think Vince is just a game manager?
My belief, this coaching staff has ZERO confidence in him throwing the ball. They don't trust him.
The league has proven over the last 4 to 5 years that you have to throw the ball to win. Indy, N.O., Arizona, N.E. and the Giants are all passing teams.
The Jets are going to figure this out soon with Sanchez. If you can't throw in the NFL, teams will figure out how to beat you. Even Piitsburgh, who loves to run the ball and play nasty "D", can throw with Roethlisberger.
If you don't trust your QB to throw in this league, you better cut bait and find someone who can.

This is why I am hoping that Rusty works out well for us, instead of putting Collins in if VY ever gets benched, throw in Rusty for a few series.

I really like Rusty, he's a great kid. But watching him everyday in practice, he's a looooong way from starting in the NFL. Great size and great arm but still very, very green. Hopefully, he'll get better sitting and watching. I know they like him, he needs a lot of seasoning though.

  • The teeth gnashing regarding Vince is comical to me. Playing QB in the NFL is a zero sum game. Vince wins. He had a hiccup in his career but he's a winner and Fisher seems more apt to get in his way then to allow him to try to win ball games for the Titans.
