UNC's Cooper ran a 5.07 while Warmack had a 5.49 in the 40-yard dash.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
There is no question that Warmack should be #1 by a large margin. Experts say that Warmack is the best guard to come out of college in a long time. Mayock even said he's the best overall talent in this draft. Because guards often don't go as high, he's at least a top 15 pick. Hopefully #10!
Cooper is tagged as a late first, early second. Larry Warford is early second.....possibly 3rd. Those are you top 3 guards. According to a few NFL scouts and teams, they like Warford a little more than Cooper......but most prefer Cooper. All agree that Warmack is #1 by a large margin.
The 40 yd dash is virtually meaningless for guards and centers. The 10-yd split time from that 40 time is a far more beneficial measure.
