BPA on defense. There isn't a position on defense I don't think we could use an upgrade. I would absolutely love Te'o. Not many MLB get drafted that high. So don't think it's out of the question. He's a true leader and a good person not just a good football player. Te'o would be a worry free pick IMO.
With that said McCarthy or Te'o would have to move outside. It would give us a nice set of LBers and allow Ayers to move up and rush the passer alot more which I think we need to do anyways.
We still need an upgrade in the secondary, need a run stuffer in the middle, an elite pass rusher would help everything that's probably the hardest to find.

I'd rather see us pick Dee Milliner or Jonathon Banks both great CBs... LB isn't an issue with us our three starters will be top 10 next year (as long as the general is healthy) .... We need pass rush and secondary help. I'd love to see us go after Osi this off season or any proven pass rusher.. Then draft one of those CBs. Then in the second round go for a guard. Then we could be set . As long as we get the right coaching

It would be a good way to go. Good post.
This is where things get interesting. ATV and Court were decent CB's this past season, but are they great? They didn't have very good safety help or pass rush to help them out. Did they worse due to those around them or is there a lack of talent there. I'd have no problem with Milliner.......we may lose ATV to free agency anyway (unless a contract was signed that I don't know about)
I will comment about your LB quote, if you don't mind. General McCarthy is a stud.....he just needs to stay healthy. I was worried about the front office taking Brown so high in the draft with all the other needs we had......but "What can Brown do for you" has really looked good towards the end of the season. I think he'll flourish with a better team around him and more playing experience.
My concern is with Ayers Rock. Sure he had the most tackles on the team this yr and he was way better this yr than his rookie yr, but there are some alarming things with him. He is regularly out of position, takes wrong angles, and doesn't wrap up the tacklers. Sure, these are things that can be improved upon with time, but these are things that should be already wrapped up........and he wasn't significantly better at these this yr as opposed to last yr. Going back to watch game film (I only really studied 4 games in their entirety) the opponents ran the ball to his side almost 65% of the time. Now why would anyone do that? Why would anyone run at Wimbley (a proven veteran) and Ayers (the strong side LB) and away from Brown (a much smaller, weaker LB) who is playing behind a young player (Morgan) that is unproven? The only conclusion is that Ayers was the weaker point to attack.
He was one of the sack leaders on the team, however, and has shown a really nice pass rush. Hence my first post about moving him to DE.

I like what you said at the end. But I'd rather see us go after a huge need in the draft then a need farther down on the list. So a CB, S, DE, Guard or all viable options for the 10th pick. But remember if we do select milliner or banks. That's moves Verner to slot. He does best in the slot I feel . Him and McCourty will be great outside corners

Looks like the Titans will have the #10th pick
