Mason enjoys workout with Titans

Ex-Titans receiver came to Father Ryan camp thanks to an invitation from QB Rusty Smith

  • The lion's den is Baltimore, and he managed to survive. We're cubs at the teat (at best), at this point.

Nice to see Rusty got him out, though. Maybe the giant leprechaun still has potential.

  • Of all the moves this organization has made, letting go of D-Mase is probably one of the few that bit them in the butt. Most of the time, the Titans have known when it was time to say goodbye to a player who was a free agent or cap cut. But Mason is one guy they should have hung on to. Blame the Lamont Smith/Floyd Reese showdown over Eddie George's pay cut for that one.

I have to admit, Rusty has looked pretty darn good out at Father Ryan so far. I thought that kid would never see an NFL field again but he actually looks a whole lot better a year later. Now I'm not saying Honolulu here we come but he may stick around this team as a backup after all.

  • I would take mason over all of the 754 receivers we have taken in the draft combined.

  • I don't know this for a fact, but Mason may still have a home in the Nashville area---- Mason's younger brother (Albert Winn) was a Wide Receiver for the Nashville Storm from 2006-2008, and actually resided at Derrick Mason's home in that era----- which was after Mason left the Titans and began playing for the Ravens.

BTW, agree Derrick Mason was the best Titan WR ever.

  • I definitely miss Mason on the team.

Was playing a old version of Madden (don't remember what year), but I had both McNair and Mason in it. I enjoyed kicking some butt with them.
