Terry, any word if Britt will see charges filed against him from the incident last week?

    Terry,

Who do you think starts at QB for the Titans next week - Young or Collins?

    Kevin Ryan

  • Terry, what are the chances Tony Brown plays Sunday in San Diego?

Dinger acted like yesterday after the game that VY would probably be OK with another week to recuperate. If they think he's less than 100 percent, I would hold him out and give him until the bye to be 100 percent. He's different than most quarterbacks in that he needs his legs to be effective.

I'm told that his knee needs rest to heal completely, and he has been trying to push through the injury. The smart thing to do is to let him sit out again this week and have three full weeks off.

No charges have been filed as of 5 minutes ago, but the guy has retained an attorney. So it's probably coming.

  • Terry,

What do the Titans need to do differently to break through against the Chargers on Sunday?

After yesterday, he is on pace for just over 1,500 yards.

  • Terry, I have TWO questions:

    1. Do you expect Damian Williams to be the slot guy even after Gage comes back? Britt has obviously taken Gage's starting spot on the outside.

    2. Do you expect the Titans to make an effort to get Jared Cook on the field more? I'm sure they'd like to let Scaife walk after this season and let another team overpay him, but I'm not sure Fisher is ready to hand the keys to the Stevens/Cook combo next year. What do you think?

    Thanks, Terry!

They have never had much luck against the Chargers. In fact, they have laid some of their worst eggs ever against them. But they need to keep doing what they're doing on defense in order to have a chance. The Chargers will put up yards, but are having trouble with turnovers. The Titans have been good at takeaways over the last three weeks especially.

  • Terry, can you give me a snapshot of who you think will make the playoffs in the AFC? Our next two games against the Charges and Dolphins may be our toughest match ups of the season. We could really solidify our AFC position with two wins.

I'm sure Gage will have some sort of role when he gets back. Maybe more rotating of receivers, which Dinger actually doesn't like to do. But I would leave it as is, if it were me. Gage is a free agent and it is obvious that Britt and Williams are the future.

As for Cook, I continue to be baffled as to why they don't play him. I know Scaife is trustworthy, and they have a package each week for Cook, but chances are Bo is gone at the end of the year and they will have to rely on Cook in '11.

  • Right now, it looks like KC in the west. That's the easy one since everybody else out there is struggling. The East and North are shaping up as two-team races with the Pats and Jets in the East and the Steelers and Ravens in the North. The wild-card will be a tough ticket this year, and the Titans are locked in a three-team battle in the South. I still am not completely sold on the Texans as a contender. They just seem to always find a way to not get it done at crunch time. I never count out the Colts, so I think the Titans are solidly in the mix for a playoff spot, but as you said, the schedule gets tougher in November.

  • Terry, what do you contribute to Fisher's current streak of 12 in a row over the NFC?

They seem to do a good job getting ready and familiarizing themselves with teams. Plus, truthfully, I don't think the NFC is as strong as the AFC right now. The four or five best teams IMO are all in the AFC.
