Morgan Sighting

  • It had been since Jan. 5 in the Orange Bowl, since Derrick Morgan had taken live snaps. That came to an end Saturday night in Charlotte. Titans first round pick played 15 snaps and his head coach said that he was "quite impressive."

Morgan finished with two hits on the QB, an assist, and a tackle for a loss, according to Fisher. The official game book did not credit him with a tackle for loss. "He has strength, power, good hands, and explosion," Fisher said. "That's why we drafted him," Fisher added.

The defensive line coach, Jim Washburn, was excited about Morgan's play, Fisher pointed out. Ask any of his players, that's not an easy task.

TitanInsider: "Any closer and you'd be in the huddle."

I was very impressed with Morgan's play. He was getting to the QB and in the QB's face constantly. I'm pretty sure Morgan was the reason for a tackle for loss that Jason Jones received.
