Offensive Line Depth

  • I was listening to a radio interview with Mike Munchak on 1045 the zone and he said that Troy Kropog and Mike Otto were now playing exclusively at the tackle spot. He indicated they were competing for the swing tackle spot. This would seem to mean that one of them will get cut (likely Kropog). Does this mean that the Titans keep 7 Olineman? Or does someone like Ryan Durand or Kevin Matthews make the roster as the 8th olineman? What does everyone think? Would like to hear from Terry or Darren on this issue as well.

    They almost always keep eight linemen. I personally would find it difficult for them to part with Kropog so soon, given that he's a fourth-round pick from a year ago. If Kropog and Otto (who can also play guard) both make it, then the last spot comes down to Fernando Velasco, Matthews and Durand. My money is on Velasco of that bunch with Matthews on the practice squad.
