Offseason Needs

  • Offensively I think it's pretty clear the interior line is in need of a major overhaul and need at least two starters. I like Velasco, but he may be better suited for OG than C. Get a stud OG and maybe find a Center prospect in the draft. Love me some Barret Jones he's big and nasty. We could use a big back to upgrade over Harper. A compliment to CJ has been needed since he got here. Get a bruiser change of pace back that get fight for some yards and that's effective short yardage and goalline.

Defensively a run stuffer in the middle would be a welcome addition. I wouldnt be suprised to see us draft a DT at 10 if a guy we love is there. A true pass rusher at DE would be very helpful too. LBer corp is young and atheltic. Ayers can get after the passer, but his penalty ridden ways and inconsistent tackling is really irritating. He's got potential to be a stud and he has to improve. Brown was way better than I expected him to be. McCarthy when healthy runs this D and significantly improves this entire side of the ball. CB we're not to bad, but could use a little depth. Would love the Honey Badger in the 4th or 5th if he's still there. He's a guy that can make plays. Glad we signed Wilson at S. I would like another S in the draft. Be interesting to see what kind of direction they go if they select a S. EIther a ballhawk type of cover guy to free up the LBers to pass rush more or if they will be looking at a more physical in the box type S.

I think we have to draft an OG or C with one of our first 3 picks. Would like a run stuffing DT at some point. The majority of the pass rushers in this draft class look like 34 OLB's the guys like Mingo and Jordan. Jordan is bigger of the two and freakish athlete. WOuld be suprised if he is there at 10.

    My dream draft:

    1. Warmack/ Werner
    2. Elam/ B. Jones C

  • I'm not real high (pun intended) on the honey badger. Yeah, he can make plays, but honestly as a CB he isn't that special.

A name to keep in mind is Darius Slay. Had a great combine and is going to gain a lot of attention heading into the draft.

Good take, ndtitan28. I agree that Jordan will not likely be there when the Titans pick. Warmack makes a lot of sense at #10.

  • Someone to block jj watt.A big DT. A run stuffing DE. A vet corner and kick verner inside.
