"In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.” That is a quote by Bill Cosby and it rings true. Unfortunately, Fisher doesn't fit that mold.
His fear of making a mistake(conservative nature, take the FG instead of the endzone shot), is greater than his desire to succeed. While this philosophy has usually kept the Titans competitive, they will never win the Superbowl as long as Fisher and the team has that philosophy.
I knew this franchise was doomed with the pick of VY, and I still think the team will be better off in the long run without him. However, this team has too many weapons and a limited window with these weapons to break in a new QB.
The team is going to have to draft a QB to play behind VY and get rid of Fisher if the team wants to win any time soon.
TMac said it best last week on The Sports Zone, this team has had losing streaks of 5 games or more in 5 of the last 7 seasons. How does anyone survive that? Jeff has been masterful at deflecting heat off himself through the years but Bud needs to get his head out of the sand and make a change. Jeff is too stubborn to adapt his style to the 21st century NFL, it's time to bring in someone who can.
I think we need to get a new HC and a new owner, as how can we trust a HC to do his job when our owner forces him to make decisions he does not feel is best for the team (drafting Vince Young even though Fisher didn't want to).
We can't expect one to succeed when the other won't cooperate, which is true for both sides of the coin.

On second thought, Fisher has to go.
