Peter King's mock draft

  • No way should the Titans consider Dalton at #8

  • Wow the time I spent looking at peter kings mock draft I will never get back and I feel dumber for having to be subjected to his love for dalton. Might as well pick up lienart if we want a qb that won in college but can't push the ball down field or colt brennan.

Couldn't agree more. I could see him in the 2nd round by no way that high in the 1st.

  • That is not happening. If the Titans take a QB at eight it will be because Gabbert fell in their lap or they are confident enough in Locker's ability to become a franchise quarterback.

TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.

  • I don't see either of those picks happening,

I seriously hope that the Titans don't take Fairly, we need to stay away from problem players in the first round, and I do not agree at all that Dalton is a first round pick.

I agree with Terry, it's either Locker or a defensive guy.

  • If they go defense in round one, then Dalton is very much in play in the second round, but certainly not at No. 8 overall.

  • Any thoughts on Robert Quinn? I know he has questions about his effort and of course his yr suspension.

  • If we go defense at 8 I'd would hope its quinn over fairley. Quinn is a rare talent that is seen rarely much less in the back end off the first ten picks. So I would much rather have him then a undersized albert haynesworth.

What exactly is the "problem" with Fairley (learn to spell)? He plays hard, he has had some late hits, but please tell me of a uber successful college player on the D-line who never got any penalties on for that at some point. You can't. Not one.

    I direct you to here:

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft2011/insider/columns/story?id=6424171 (if you are not an ESPN insider, then of course you won't be able to look at it, but KC Joyner literally proves that Fairley is worth the price of admission and is not "dirty".)

    And here:

http://espn.go.com/blog/afcsouth/post/_/id/22939/not-another-albert-nick-fairley-fits-titans (If PK, who is skeptical and critical of everything in his life, can like Fairley for the Titans, then so can you).

Fairley is the pick, plain and simple. If you do not think so, then you need to reassess your knowledge of football.

And lastly, one of the truly retarded utterances of all-time on a football telecast was made by Gary Danielson during the Auburn-Georgia game. He said, and I quote, "[Fairley] hits too hard." He said it as though he was expecting something different from a 6'4 295lbs DT who was faster than anyone protecting poor little Aaron Murray. As Ditka said, "Football is not a contact sport, it is a collision sport. Ballroom dancing is a contact sport."

  • # 8 is to high of a pick for a guy that's motor runs hot and cold and has a tendency to play to high. If you want to go into all your quotes look at what warren sapp had to say about your boy, his opinion about his former position carries more weight with me then some columnist at espn.

    sgtfoley

  • And as far a defense I'm predicting here and now that robert quinn will be defensive rookie of the year. At this time next year you can either tell me that I still need to reassess my football knowledge or you'll pretend I never made this bold statement. So fairley as far as I'm concerned is not the best defensive talent and the titans need de more than dt. Most of our de are leaving or just don't fit into the system anymore.

    No need to get cranky.

I don't like Fairley and I don't have too, I absolutely disliked him after that VERY late hit on Murray and lost all respect for him.

Just because you like him, doesn't mean the rest of us have to. If the Titans pick Fairley, I will support the pick but I won't like it.

I also disagree on if he is the pick regardless of what I feel about him as a human being, I think Quinn or Bowers will either be the guy we pick at 8 or Jake Locker.
