Players-Only Practices

  • Does anyone know whats currently going on with the players practices? Are they still at Father Ryan? Has it become large scale yet, or is it still just a few players here and there?

    I know Michael Griffin (@MikeGriff33) tweeted our rookie linebacker Colin McCarthy (@COLINMcCARTHY44) yesterday:

    Hopefully soon. I'm just working out down here in Florida. Might make a trip up there with the family though.

    I'd like to know the latest on this as well. I know Cortland was one of those behind the Father Ryan workouts back in March.

  • Looking at Twitter today, it seems like Griffin is really trying to get players together. He just tweeted Mouton and asked his uniform size. Maybe he is stepping up and leading the pack. Would love it if thats the case. #HookEmHorns :)

    I saw the same tweet. I expect big things from Griffin in 2011.

  • Yep, players are still working out at Father Ryan. Jim Wyatt reported about a dozen or so Titans players there today, along with Seahawks receiver Golden Tate.

  • Locker has working with former Jets QB Ken O'Brien on some things. I think he's supposed to be in town in a couple of weeks to start working out.

    I've talked to Griffin several times this offseason about that very subject and I don't think there is any doubt you're going to see No.33 taking a bigger leadership role in 2011. He's going into his 5th season and a 2X Pro Bowler......it's time!
