Once the Titans place Gerald McRath on the Reserve/Suspended list, won't that give us a roster exemption? With the release of Sean Ryan and McRath's exemption, that should bring us to 52 players, correct? Am I missing something?

Bump. Jim Wyatt says he's hearing buzz about the Titans being interested in trading for Raiders LB Thomas Howard. Adam Shefter is reporting that the Raiders have been fielding offers on Thomas Howard and Cornerback Chris Johnson, but have opted against trading either of them.

We actually get two free roster spots one for McRath for 4 weeks and one for Thornton for 6 weeks.

Yeah, I just thought we were at 52 instead of 53, because there were some conflicting reports at first about Ryan Durand and Sean Ryan both being released. It has since been cleared up, I just jumped the gun. Apparently Durand is still on the roster.

They went down to 75 players on Tuesday. They released 20 today. That puts the roster at 55 but with Thornton and McRath they're at 53.
Sean Ryan's agent confirmed he has been cut.
