Question for the Staff

Based on what I've read on the TitansCentral board, a lot of fans have very high hopes for Rennie Curran this upcoming season. What's your take on him based on what you've seen and what you've heard from the coaching staff? Of course, only one of those coaches is still with the team, but he IS the LBer coach!

The talk of getting bigger across the defense certainly does not help Curran's stock. He may very well be passed by by guys like Ayers and McCarthy. He will make the 53-man roster pretty easily, but I think he could have an uphill climb to earn playing time beyond special teams.

If he's ST only, how does he easily make the squad given that Shaw and Bailey are still on the roster, plus we've added McCarthy?

I think that one of or maybe both Shaw and Bailey are potential free agents (may be restricted depending on the rules), but they always keep about 7-8 LBs and Curran will be among that group.

Does that include Tulloch or not? Lord, I hope not...

They won't pay what Tully wants if he's a UFA. He is only back as an RFA.
