Surely someone will come to their senses in all this. Reinfeldt has a reputation of being a bottom line guy. And yes, the circumstances were somewhat different, but Albert Haynesworth wound up walking away over about $1-$2 million when they could have signed him the year they franchised him. In the CJ matter, there has to be more given and take.
TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.
With the stingy reputation the Titans FO has made for themselves they're going to have to cave with CJ to keep him happy, and to show some loyalty to their own players. Look at all the people we've let go because we wouldnt give them that 1 big contract after they played their ass off for the Titans for peanuts.
I hate what CJ is doing, but honestly I can't blame him. If he doesnt get paid now he won't. The shelf life on a RB is way to short to suck it up for two years and then get the big contract (most of which isn't guaranteed) then get cut cause theyre not living up to it.
Normally cases like this I'd rather have the player shut up and just play. I'm kind of suprised i'm on CJ's side. He's been a bit of a baby about it. They need to figure it out.
