The base salary becomes guaranteed if he is on the roster in week 1, unless it somehow stipulates that if the roster bonus is paid it guarantees the base. So unless that is the case (which is not usually the case), you could bring him to camp and cut him and be free of the base salary.

All vested veterans are entitled to their base salary if they are on the roster in the first week of the season. It is possible they could bring some competition in, but Reinfeldt is also not a real go-getter in the early stages of free agency. So you can probably forget a guy like Landry or Weddle, who would probably be signed before the Titans even made their first phone call.


Should the Titans restructure Hope's salary or look elsewhere?
