My twitter feed is chalk full of people claiming what a stupid move this is. They must know something I don't. 0 playoff wins in 7 years. Is that good? Where are the dissenting voices on this board?
It's interesting watching all the media outlets scramble for info. ESPN was clearly outscooped, which is hilarious. There also seems to be divide among age and racial lines in reaction to the news.
As a Kentucky fan, this reminds me of the Tubby Smith era coming to an end. Lots of fans and media will talk about what a good coach he is and how lots of other teams would love to have him, but for ardent fans like myself, the many years of mediocrity with little hope for a turnaround in the immediate future is a very painful thought. I think this will turn out well for the Titans. It may not pay off this year or even the next, but it was time for a change, and I think we'll see a renewed passion/vigor from the players, coaches, and fans.
