Its amazing we still havent added a veteren DE, even just a mediocre one. Im sure the Titans know how much its gonna take to sign Manning, so inturn they know how much they have to spend on other positions, like DE. With all the top DEs already signed with other teams, Tennessee better act quick and sign one of the few that are left. Im almost just as anxious to see which DE we sign as I am to see if we sign Manning.
Of the few left, I like Wimbley (although hes more of a LB than DE, but hes a good pass rusher) and Anderson, although if Freeny becomes available (released or through trade) I think he would be the best fit. He is older but i think thats what we need for this year, and hopefully we can find a DE in the draft that will be the long term answer.
The focus has been on Manning. Mark Anderson was in town today. I believe he has other visits set up. I still think the Titans should go after Freeney.
