Things to do in Nashville?

  • I'm going to Nashville on Saturday with some family members. What are some things we should see or do?

A tour of the Ryman, the Grand Ole Opry, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Frist Center are always fun. If you have kids I would add the Adventure Science Center and the Nashville Zoo to that list.

  • Can never go wrong with a trip to the Loveless Cafe or Pancake Pantry for lunch.

  • Just seeing the Opryland Hotel is worth a trip if you haven't been there. I'm not sure if the Sounds are in town but that's fun if you like baseball. If you like historical sites you could go to The Hermitage or the Belle Meade Plantation. There is also Cheekwood which is an old estate that's now a botanicle garden and museum.

  • Thank you for the suggestions gentlemen. I will have to check out those historical sites for sure. I was a History major in college so I'll probably enjoy those places. I'm definitely going to stop by LP Field and get a few pics as well. bike

From 11am-2:30 on Saturday EDDIE GEORGE, LANCE SCHULTERS and other former Titans will be at Publix, in Mt. Juliet, (717 South Mt. Juliet Rd.). If get a chance head out there and meet those guys!

  • Thanks again for the suggestions. Nashville is a lot of fun. I was impressed with how nice things were as well as clean. I got to swing by on our way in and get a picture with Eddie George (very nice guy). I look forward to coming back this fall for some games. By the way the Opryland Hotel is incredible. I've never seen a hotel that is pretty much a city in itself.

If you come back to a game in November or December, circle back out there to the Hotel and see the light display. It's beyond impressive!!

  • I will have to see that. My aunt was there during Christmas once and said its very nice. By the way, can you park anywhere at the hotel without having to pay $18 just to park? lol We actually parked at the Grand Ole Opry and walked over to the hotel to save money. pirate

That is definately a pitfall for people who show up not knowing the parking situation out there. Although, I had family in town over last Thanksgiving weekend, and took them out there and we found a FREE lot on the grounds!! I don't know if we just got lucky or maybe they have started giving folks a break during the Holidays.
