Receiver Justin Gage was in uniform, but said he was still a bit sore with his injured thumb. He is holding out hope that he could play Saturday at Carolina.
“I feel like I'm close,” Gage said. “We're fighting against time. I think I have a chance. It's tough to say, but I feel like I have a chance to play right now.”
Gage has a splint on the thumb and has to wear it 24/7.
“It helps out with support and helps keep me from banging it around,” he said.
