  • My response to the final 53 at the end of last yr was: "Gee, We need to really, really upgrade our interior o-line and our pass rush."

My response to the recent final 53: "Gee, We need to really upgrade our interior o-line and pass rush."

So in my estimation we've gone from 2 "really" to 1. I love the rest of the team though. Give it a yr or two (and hopefully some upgrades at interior o-line and pass rush!!!!!) and we're gonna have a superbowl contender.

  • Pass rush to me is my only concern on defense. If we're not getting consistent pressure our secondary is going to look bad. Best LBer corp we've had in recent memory Ayers and McCarthy look very good to me and only going to get better lots of upside.

Offense I think really hinges on how effective CJ is early in games. He can take a lot of pressure of Locker if he can get back to what he's capable of. Really hope Locker has a good start week 1 would certainly help his confidence moving forward. Also best set of WR's we've had in a very long time. Any of the 5 WR's on the roster can contribute.

Not saying this offense is like the Packers offense but there are alot of similarities in personnel. Rodgers and Locker are alot alike when you think about what they can do (granted Rodgers has been there and done it throwing the ball but physical tools they are somewhat similar). Good set of WR's Britt when healthy is the best on either team. Superfreak athletically at TE with Finley and Cook (similar skill sets that are matchup nightmares just need consistency from Cookie)

Again not saying this offense is or will ever be as productive as the Packers offense has been in recent years just noting the similarites and youth and potential this offense has for the future. This could develop into something special.

    I like your optimism, BlueRaider22.
