The Tennessee Titans announced that Jay Gore, of McGavock, has been named the Titans High School Football Coach of the Week.
McGavock trailed most of the game before rallying late to tie, and beat Overton 35-28 in overtime.
Through the Titans Foundation, a $1,000 contribution will be made to McGavock High School football program, in Coach Gore's honor.
Coach Gore will be the team's guest at LP Field on Dec.19, against the Texans, when they honor all 2010 Coach of the Week winners.
