if that had been manning or brady, would a defender have gotten away with a hit like that?

No if it was manning or brady it would have been 15 yards and automatic 1st down.... this is ridiculous. You know all three of those defenders will get a heavy fine for that... but how can you not call that.

If they put Collins in I see it as them giving up on the season... stick with your starter to the bitter end.

A couple of years ago the Titans were down by 21 to the New York Giants entering the 4th quarter. Vince Young led the Titans back for a win... why not give him another shot.

Jeff Fisher is a piece of ****. Collins was 0-6 last year and he still refused to bench him until Bud Adams insisted. VY has won 13 of 15 including 6 4th quarter comebacks and he benches him the second game of a 1-0 season because he was struggling against the best defense in the nfl. That is absurd. Fisher already threw away an entire season with this crap last year, how long will the people in Tennessee let his crap derail the Titans? The media needs to be all over him.

Let's not pin this all on Fisher. Hiemerdinger I'm sure had some say in pulling him. He probably talked to him on the sideline and saw it in his eye's that VY didn't have together. So instead of sending out there and possibly sending him into a downward spiral for the rest of the season. He pulled him and see if Kerry could get something rolling. QB's used to get pulled all the time in the 80's and early 90's but now it means something different if the coach does it.
I just think fisher was trying to get a spark from a team that looked like crap all game on offense but was surprisingly in the game still.

I hope you are right but where was that chance for VY the first 6 games last year? Collins was playing awful and they never let VY come in until Bud Adams forced Fisher.

I agree to a point. I wouldn't say Kerry was terrible last year. Keep in mind if they had any that resembled special teams last year they would have won 2 games and if they had receivers that could catch they could have maybe won another 2 with Collins. So they could have been 4-2 atleast 3-3 with him. They just got off to a really bad start last year. And I don't think you can pin it all on Kerry Collins. But yes I agree he could have thrown VY in a couple game last year before the break.
