I would consider signing someone to a 1 yr deal without a doubt. Matthews may be out for concussions for a while and Amano is done for the yr.

True, but that was 4 yrs ago. We have a new HC that openly criticized the interior line last yr....brought in Hutch.....and tried to bring in a ton of centers to replace Amano. I wouldn't be surprised if they sit back and watch......perhaps for a trade, perhaps for another free agent to open up, perhaps to evaluate Matthews further, perhaps to evaluate our interior line during the preseason, etc. It wouldn't surprise me to see them pick up somebody.
