Viking hunting sunday

  • Vikes have been playing well. Shocked most of the country with their win against SF. Everybody knows about Jared Allen, Kevin Williams, Harvin, and AP. Sports talk up here is basically all Minnesota sports so I get to hear all the BS about the Vikes.

Ponder has been solid this year, and one big problem we may run into outside of AP and Harvin is their young TE's. Be some interesting matchups for our D. I still call their pass blocking so-so and this should be a team we should be able to get pressure on. If Ponder stays clean he can get comfortable and make throws.

Harvin does more for their offense than AP does. They move Harvin all over the field and show you all kinds of different looks. I think stopping him is more key than shutting AP down. AP you obviously have to keep in check, but he's not as dynamic as Harvin is.

VIkes D has looked good so far, but I think their biggest chink is their secondary. They've got 2 very young safety's, and I sure hope Hasselbeck can take advantage of that. They're Lb's are suspect as well outside of Greenway he's been a beast this year.

Oline has to keep Kevin Williams in check running the ball, and keep Brinkley moving sideline to sideline he's a run stuffer that's tough at the point of attack. Should be an interesting matchup hopefully the offense can sustain some drives and make this a pretty fun game to watch.

Solid take, ndtitan28. It would be huge if we could get Kenny back to help stretch the field against their young secondary.

  • Also the last couple years the Vikings have had trouble covering athletic TE's. We happen to have one of those if he's healthy and ready to go.
