On Sat. radio they were talking about this situation. He really didn't get a ton of money to go to Denver. So either NE didn't offer him much at all and/or the rumors about some tension between Welker and some NE staff members were true.
No matter the case, I feel that Denver (with the recent upgrades and division) is in a better position to make a SB run in the next 2 yrs than NE is.
