What Are We Doing With Our Money

  • We have around $20M+ left and can't find anyone to give it to?

There are a couple of guys left the Titans could look at. I like that they don't go out and over spend for free agents. At least we're not to the Dolphins, who seem strike out all the time.

  • I agree but its just frustrating to see other teams sign people that could help us and signing some of them to 1 year deals.

Yeah, seeing Jason Jones sign a one-year deal is extremely frustrating.

  • I just dont think the Titans are in love with anyone else in FA. We had a chance to sign Mark Anderson (look at his contract in Buffalo, pretty cheap) to a deal similar to Wimbley, but he chose the Bills. So either the Titans didnt offer him enough money, or he just doesnt want to play here. Same could be said for Saturday and maybe one of those corners out there.

Maybe the Titans see Freeney as an option down the line, closer to the draft, and are saving money/cap space to possibly sign/trade for him. I think everyone would agree that out of any FA, or realistic trade prospect, Freeney is the best.

  • Free agency will be quiet over the next couple of days because of the league meetings. That said, the Titans are struggling to land anyone that has visited of late.

TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.

What do you think the problem is? Everything I read the free agents like Munch and they have to spend most of the money under the cba.

  • The Titans generally offer what they believe is fair market value and don't usually deviate very far off that. It may be that more teams are offering more, and with the Broncos loading up it may be the attraction of Peyton luring other guys in.

What about Matt Roth and Andre Carter at DE
Brandon McDonald or Nate Jones at CB (both are nickles)
Melvin Bullitt at Saftey (he can play free or strong)
These guys probably wouldn't cost much and would certainly add depth if nothing else.
    Any news on Dave Ball?
