I''m thinking Palmer right now. The Titans defense has at least given some sort of effort this season.
I agree that it should be Palmer.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
I don't know that it really matters. It doesn't matter what play Palmer calls if you don't have people who will block and catch and it doesn't matter what defense Gray puts them in if they can't tackle. It may be the defense just gets tired being on the field so long so it may go on the back of the offense.
They may use one or the other for a scapegoat, but they aren't the issue. Remember that the same group went 9-7 last yr.
There were coaching problems last year as well, very little in game adjustments were made, the team came out flat most of the time. The difference is the teams we are playing this season are a lot better and the coaching flaws are much more exposed. This team is not competitive, missed tackles, dropped passes aside, they are showing up every week and laying an egg.
If you can't rush the passer with four guys then come up with something new. If you are constantly in third and long, then find a way to have success on first and second down.
I will give Gray a little more leeway for lack of talent but Palmer isn't getting it done and he has a lot more to work with. I can definitely see him being the fall guy.
The big problem for everyone is that Munchak only has 1 year remaining on his contract. He will not be able to give any new OC or DC hire an assurance of a future beyond 1 year.Furthermore i am sure nobody is ready to extend him at this point.I have to believe that when BUD stepped in just before free-agency,it has had a lasting effect. The product on the field right now is pretty much un-watchable. Cj is running his way to free-agency and there is nobody to push him for playing time,Britt-LE, is oft injured and in trouble and no big wr to push him.Locker has been injured needs time to heal The Special teams coach seems to have more trick or deceptive plays than the OC or the DC.
