I think Amano will take it. Though I've heard that Velasco may push him. I think Hutch next to him will pay off big time.....as it would for anyone at center.

Amano, but I would not be shocked if Velasco opened up as the center.

Velasco has not even been playing center in OTA's...several reports the last few days have indicated that Velasco is playing right guard and competing with Harris. Kevin Matthews is the one competing with Amano. Velasco is a decent player, but the starting center will not be Velasco. Ruston Webster pretty much said that himself.

Depends on who fits better, but Velasco appears to be the backup guard right now, and could replace Harris if he leaves after this season.. Matthews probably comes to camp with a better knowledge of how the offense works, what the calls should be, and what his assignments are, just from his dad coaching him up..whether that's enough to beat out Amano is to be determined..
