Who's your MVP from yesterday's game?

  • My vote is for Michael Griffin. The guy was all over the field accounting for 12 tackles plus a fumble recovery. Let's hope this is a sign of things to come from him.

    I'd agree with that.

TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.

  • Chris Johnson. The whole team is completely dependent upon CJ and his big play ability. His presence brings the best out of VY, keeps the defense off the field, and makes the Titans a serious contender. Michael Griffin played outstanding, but the MVP was Chris Johnson in my opinion.

  • I realize Griffin and CJ are the obvious choices but I have to vote for Will Witherspoon. For what he had to endure this past week. Flying in late Saturday night with no practice or preperation and to have the first sack of the game and be the second leading tackler. Two thumbs up, hats off, two snaps and any other corny cliche' for Witherspoon's performance. Oh, and he's a great guy too!

To be fair, the Titans could have won without CJ in this game. While the score would have been a lot closer I felt like the Raiders would not have scored a TD if our defense didn't get so relaxed after being up so much!

I'd like to give a co MVP offense: Vince Young, Defense Will Witherspoon. Witherspoon had a very rough week and came in there and played like nothing had happened. He played great. Vince Young had a career day and didn't throw an interception. The Titans seem to win when Vince keeps his turnovers down. For the record I'm blaming that fumble on Michael Roos...

Honerable Mention: The entire special teams unit. Did anyone else get excited about how well we covered kicks and our return game was pretty solid. Newly signed Tim Shaw had a great hit on a kick return!

  • Michael Griffin, Michael Griffin, Michael Griffin

I was so surprised that he played as well as he did on Sunday after the huge let down last year. If he can keep it up he'll be going back to the Pro Bowl and the Titans will have a great year.

  • I think it would have to be a Co-MVP with Griffin and CJ. Looking forward to this season with two superstars on both sides of the field.
