Will Titans pull trigger on Newton?

    Titans are doing their due diligence on the Auburn quarterback, but there are plenty of questions to still be answered.

  • I'm not a newton guy but he's not vince young. Newton has shown the ability to play in adversity and was smart enough to go undefeated and win a championship two years strait in two similar but different offenses. My concern with newton is his accuracy and is it fixable. Accuracy is paramount in the nfl and you are not going to be settled when you throw the ball, this is why I love locker he is impeccable with accuracy on the move. The positive is cj is a better back with a mobile qb. Look at the game tape between collins and young and focus only on cj there is more holes in that zone blocking line as defenders are spreading out to defend the qb.

  • I agree that Newton is not Young, but the Titans are scared of Newton regarding both character and accuracy. I think they probably see similarities in the two, though and I believe that could throw them off.

    To be brutally honest, I would rather have Rusty Smith than Newton.

  • Terry said they probably won't draft Newton so no need to worry. I really hope we can snag someone like Von Miller. Our linebackers are flat out awful. Look at the numbers of our backers against opponents te's, rb's, etc..in the passing game. Hopefully someone like Ponder or Locker will be available in the second round.
