Eugene Amano goes down in practice

There was a scary moment midway through practice on Saturday for the Tennessee Titans when starting center Eugene Amano went down with an apparent right ankle injury.

He did not finish practice and is listed as questionable for Monday night's game in Jacksonville.

Last week in Dallas when Amano went out of the game with a neck stinger, he was replaced by second-year guy Fernando Velasco, who had started at left guard in place of an injured Leroy Harris.

Titans starting wide receiver Justin Gage has been ruled out for Monday after not practicing all week with a hamstring injury.

With Gage out, that moves Kenny Britt up in the rotation with Nate Washington, and will allow rookie Damian Williams (Southern California) and Lavelle Hawkins to see more action.

After running back Chris Johnson was given the day off on Thursday with a thigh injury, he was on the practice field in a limited capacity and listed as probable.

Jason McCourty (cornerback) was back on the practice field this week in full, after breaking his forearm in week 3 against the Giants, and is questionable. If he can't go then they will continue to start rookie Alterraun Verner in his spot. Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Friday that McCourty had not yet been cleared for contact.

Defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks, who did not play in Dallas, was a full participant this week and is questionable with a knee.

Punter Brett Kern tweaked his hamstring before the start of practice on Friday and did not practice yesterday or today but is probable. If Kern was unable to go, then the Titans would have to make a roster move.

Defensive tackle Tony Brown (knee) did not practice, he is probable. Brown exited Friday's practice about 20 minutes before practice ended, accompanied by team physician, Dr. Burton Elrod.

Harris was not on the injury list this week but showed up Saturday as a full participant (knee) and is probable.

Damian Williams was excused from practice on Thursday with an illness but has been back it for the last two days.
