While Jeff Fisher would not address the Tennessee Titans quarterback situation as it relates to Vince Young, it sounds as if Kerry Collins would be welcome back in some capacity, in the event Fisher himself returns next season.
Collins threw for 300 yards on 28 of 39 passes with two touchdown before a costly end game fumble in a 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
But Fisher endorsed the 38-year-old free agent as a possible returnee.
“Yeah, I think he’s a possibility. I don’t think he’s a possibility necessarily as a starter, but I think he’s certainly a possibility. He’s still got time left. He had an outstanding performance yesterday,” Fisher said.
As for the potential return of free agent receiver Randy Moss, a waiver pickup who was seldom used by the Titans (six catches for 81 yards), Fisher was in wait-and-see mode.
“I think we’ll evaluate that. I think he’ll be, as Kerry will, be part of that whole evaluation process,” Fisher said.
