The Tennessee Titans and rookie wide receiver Kendall Wright have finally agreed to terms on a deal, according to a league source.
Wright was one of two remaining holdouts among first-round picks, the other being Jacksonville receiver Justin Blackmon.
Wright and the Titans had been stalemated over a pair of issues – one being the amount of guaranteed base salary in the fourth and final year of the deal. The other issue was with offset language that, if included, would give the Titans the right to recoup money in the event Wright does not play out the entire four-year contract and signs with another team.
Under the NFL’s slotting system, Wright can expect to make about $8.2 million total in the deal with a signing bonus of around $4.47 million based on what last year’s first-round pick Adrian Clayborn got from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
