Britt talks about possible trade

Kenny Britt says he doesn’t want to be traded. The Titans have said they are not shopping him. But the receiver says he understands that if he is dealt by Tuesday’s deadline that it is all part of the business of the NFL.

“Do I expect to be here? I don’t know what my future is. If I’m here, that’ll be great. If I’m not, it would be a fresh start. Right now, my mind is if I’m here, I am,” Britt said.

Asked if all the rumors and speculation – is the latest outlet to report Britt is being shopped around – bother him, Britt was matter-of-fact.

“No, not at all. The game is about business and if they feel I’m not getting the job done, it’s up to them to keep me or not,” Britt said. “But I’m grateful for the opportunity they gave me to be here. Hopefully, I’m not going anywhere because I would love to stay here.”

Per a source, Britt may be unlikely to be dealt, as there may not be much of a market for him because of his struggles.

Britt's season has been a disappointment thus far. He has lost his starting role and has just eight receptions for 67 yards. The 2009 first-round pick can be a free agent at the end of the 2013 season.

Britt practiced Monday per usual, as the Titans came off their bye week and now turn their attention to the St. Louis Rams and their own former coach Jeff Fisher.
“It should be fun, if I’m in the game,” Britt said. “I practice every day like I’m gonna be here.”

Britt said all has been quiet thus far, as he has heard nothing from the Titans, nor his agent Bill Johnson to indicate a deal is in the works by the Tuesday deadline.

“I should call him today. But he hasn’t heard anything or he would have probably texted me or something,” Britt said.
