As TitanInsider's Tipsheet first reported this afternoon, Tim Hauck is out as the Tennessee Titans assistant secondary coach.
Hauck spent two seasons in Tennessee and came on board in part through a connection with former coach Jeff Fisher, whose son Brandon played for Hauck's brother Bobby at the University of Montana.
Hauck had spent time at UCLA as a coach before joining the Titans and was instrumental in helping them to bring Alterraun Verner on board with a recommendation last year.
There had been speculation that Hauck might survive instead of Marcus Robertson. Instead, the Titans are now searching for someone to help out coaching safeties and in the nickel package.
University of Kentucky co-defensive coordinator Steve Brown is a possible candidate, and though he is under contract with the Washington Redskins, former Titans safety Steve Jackson has close ties to defensive coordinator Jerry Gray.
