The Tennessee Titans updated their emergency list at running back on Tuesday, with the most notable name on the list being former Denver Broncos and Washington Redskins standout Clinton Portis.
Others who worked out included former Tennessee State running back Javarris Williams, former Montana running back Chase Reynolds, Lonyae Miller of Fresno State and Aaron Brown of Texas Christian.
Jason LaCanfora of NFL Network reported that Portis, 30, had a strong workout for the Titans and that there was a possibility he could be signed in the next week.
However, TitanInsider has been told and Coach Mike Munchak confirmed on his weekly radio show that Portis was visiting to allow the Titans to update their emegency list in case of a severe injury suffered by Chris Johnson or Javon Ringer.
